The WeCare Youth Scholarship Award was created to inspire our youth to work hard both in School and out. Encouraging young people to utilize what they've learned to make a positive impact on their community and rewarding them because they strive to do better is our goal. Each year we will celebrate and present the scholarships.

 

ELIGIBILITY

This scholarship is open to all applicants who are residents of Connecticut, enrolled in High School or an Accredited College. If the application is not fully completed or illegible it will not be considered.

 

Academic

  • Minimum of 2.50 GPA (on a 4.0 GPA Scale)

  • Graduating High School Senior attending an Accredited University or Community College in Fall 2015 or currently enrolled at an Accredited University or Community College, Spring 2015 Semester

  • Letter of confirmation from Guidance counselor or College Advisor

Arts

  • You must be studying dance or music/art at a school or after-school program. 

  • Letter of attendance from Visual/Performing Arts Teacher

Sports

  • Should be enrolled in a Sports League (Summer or Fall).

  • Letter of confirmation from your Team Coach

 

HOW TO APPLY

Applications can be emailed to you. Submit a completed application including essay question via email or mail (postmarked) by March 15, 2016.

 

The Scholarship committee will review, evaluate and select the winners. Winners will be notified by April 02, 2016

The scholarship will be presented at the Scholarship Dinner April 30, 2016. If the recipient is under the age of 18 the monetary scholarship will be presented to a Parent/Guardian.

 

Note: All applications must be fully completed and submitted by March 15, 2016 to be considered.
